About Brien

Brien Hollowell is a Denver-born photographer driven by instinct, timing, and the understanding that life can change in an instant. At 22, a series of events kept him from the Aurora theater shooting—an experience that reshaped his path and pulled him into photography with purpose.

His creative work has since expanded beyond photography into screenwriting, directing, and filmmaking. His short film Saudi Aurora, a reenactment inspired by the Aurora tragedy, ran the festival circuit from 2023 to 2024, premiering in Los Angeles at the Da Vinci International Film Festival, with additional selections in Atlanta Film Festival and Phoenix Film Festival.

Brien studied at the Art Institute of Colorado, developing a style rooted in movement, beauty, and the raw energy of the human form. His work lives primarily in the studio, where light, body, and emotion collide.

His eye has been trusted by clients including California Almonds featuring Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, Forbes Magazine, Essence Magazine, Yoga Journal, Google, Crocs, and other leading brands and publications.

Based between Denver and New York.
